This year, BNPP AM was once again a partner of ICGN’s annual conference which took place in Milan from June 25 to 28. Michael Herskovic, our expert participated in the panel on ‘The importance of directors’ skills in board composition’ along with Monica de Virgiliis, Non-Executive Board Member of Prysmian Group & Snam and Richard Bennett, CEO at ValueEdge Advisors LLC.
In fact, as independence and diversity are increasingly guiding the process of executive appointments, companies and investors are more and more focused on the evaluation of their skills (their performances, their ability to understand their industry…). ‘Companies should disclose their competence matrix and investors should make a commitment on this topic’, Herskovic said during his speech. Besides, he highlighted BNPP AM’s engagement in terms of responsible investing and spoke about the way we address these issues with other companies to improve their practices, and more particularly regarding governance.
